Master Plant Dietas

Plants are conscious beings.
Dieta is a process that allows for a profound and deep connection of healing and learning about ourselves
and life between us and the highly intelligent and wise Spirits of the Plants.

In the Peruvian Amazon the Shipibo believe the most direct way to learn and heal from the Plant Spirits (Ivo) is through fasting and dieting with them in seclusion to receive wisdom and knowledge. These diets are deeply sacred, personal and challenging. The Shipibo have passed down knowledge and relationship with an abundance of plants for thousands of years. This knowledge is given by the plants directly to those who diet correctly and complete their dietas. All of the Shipibo knowledge and wisdom that has been passed down through the Onayas (healers) was learned in this way. All knowledge comes from being in direct relationship with the Ivo. Through decades of practice, dieta and dedication Shipibo Onayas learn to guide others in the process
of dieta to support a deep, clean and clear connection with the Ivo in an abundance for healing and learning. The Onayas and their depth of practice over decades develop an understanding of the optimal mental, physical and emotional clarity required to connect most deeply with the Ivo.

To achieve the most ideal and receptive space for this connection a dieter will be asked to abstain from certain foods, sex, alcohol and mental and physical activities. Those who are endeavoring to the very long process over many years of apprenticing go through intense mental, physical and emotional purification processes to even begin the practice of communicating with
the Ivo. The Dietas for apprentices and Maestras are minimally one month long and more often six months to one year
long (or more) with a Plant Spirit. Whether you are working in a short or long term healing and learning or both the Dieta purification process is supported through Icaro (Sung by Maestras, Onayas and Guides), Mapacho (Tobacco), Ayahuasca Ceremonies, Bathing with Plants, Vomitivos and many other plant treatments.

The Shipibo believe time is critical and essential part of dieta. Your commitment to your plant for one month or more will allow the plant and you to form a deep connection, purification and strengthening in to peace, joy and thriving. The time you spend deeply present to yourself and your plant is the heart of dieta. It is in that commitment that you will be able to take full responsibility for your healing, your learning and your life!

ALL DIETS REQUIRE YOU TO ABSTAIN FROM: OIL • SUGAR • SALT • DAIRY • PORK • RED MEAT • CAFFEINE • ALCOHOL  SEX • SHAMPOO, SOAPS AND DEODORANT • PROCESSED FOODS
• MENTAL DISTRACTIONS (TECHNOLOGY, PHONES, SOCIAL MEDIA AND OTHER PEOPLE. YOU WILL NOT HAVE WIFI OR INTERNET ACCESS ONCE YOU LEAVE PUCALLPA CITY UNTIL YOU RETURN AFTER YOUR DIETA )

Many Plant Diets require additional restrictions including: Garlic, Onion, Avocados, Citrus and other fruits.
And some require
that you do not touch other people or animals and some require complete isolation.

Plant diets are not weight loss programs or nutrition based programs (balancing proteins, fats etc.).
The food provided during your dieta is specifically to support you in the most clear connection with your plant.
Food has purpose and you will develop an acute sense of your relationship to it in this process.

Dieta progresses most optimally in solitude.
Taking generous amounts of time alone in contemplation and introspection is key in
developing a connection with your plants and truly hearing your own voice. This is ALL FOR YOU.

Dieta is an extremely individual and personal experience.

You will begin the dieta process on your first full day with a vomitivo (purification with plants)
and your plant will be determined by the Maestra Curandera after one or two Ayahuasca ceremonies in the first two days.
The number of Ayahuasca Ceremonies, treatments with plants, supporting plant remedies and
the post dieta requirements for you are determined by the Maestra, the Plants and You.
